Pump Action Screen Blasts Blockages

CSO Technik’s pump action screen has recently proven the effective operation of its cleaning system by removing three months of accumulated debris on the flow side of the screening basket.

The screen at a combined storm overflow at Godre’ graig CSO South Wales was installed by CSO Technik in October 2008. Unfortunately a power supply to the screen could not be secured until February 2009. In the meantime, the pump action screen was effectively used as static screen to protect the overflow to the river.

WABAG to Build a Further Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tunisia - A Contribution to Economic Development and the Protection of the Mediterranean

VA TECH WABAG has received an order from the Tunisian wastewater authority, ONAS (Office National de l’Assainissement), for the planning and completion of the Hergla and Enfidha wastewater treatment plant. The project will involve a volume of over €11 million and WABAG will serve as the leader of a consortium that includes the local construction company, MTT. The work is to be co-financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
